Evening Rosary

Priest Praying Rosary © COB

The prayer of the Rosary has been requested by Our Lady, since the early years of the apparitions. She desires us to pray not just one mystery a day, but the whole complete Rosary, meaning all four mysteries, the Joyful, the Luminous, the Sorrowful and the Glorious. However, Our Lady did not make this large request immediately. She asked the visionaries, the villagers and priests to pray one mystery of the Rosary a day. Later, Our Lady then asked for a second mystery to be added, a third, and then after the Luminous mysteries were inspired by Pope John Paul II, She desired these mysteries to be said as well. It was a serious request that She made on several occasions, as the message below relates.

This apparition was unexpected. Ivan was praying at home. After that he started to get ready to go to Church for the evening services. By surprise Our Lady appeared to him and told him to relate to the people.

“I would like the people to pray along with me these days. Pray all the more. Pray as much as possible! Fast strictly on Wednesdays and Fridays, and every day pray at least one Rosary: the Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries.”

Our Lady asked that we accept this message with a firm will. She especially requested this of the parishioners and believers from the surrounding places.

The evening services begin with the recitation of the Joyful Mysteries, followed by the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary. The time of Our Lady’s apparition normally falls in the middle of the Sorrowful Mysteries. The Glorious Mysteries are then prayed after Holy Mass.
